In 2007, Megan and Master Carlos Rollyson opened the doors to Rollyson Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Carlos brought four decades of experience and a black belt earned directly from Carlson Gracie Sr.; together they set out to build something rare — an academy where world-class jiu-jitsu is taught with a family atmosphere.
Today, members of every age and background train side by side: kids finding confidence in the Young Warriors program, adults learning self-defense and getting in the best shape of their lives, and competitors sharpening their game for the podium.
It's the same art Carlson Gracie taught in Brazil — passed down, unbroken, on the mats of Hollywood, Florida.

From a child in the mountains of Teresópolis to one of the highest-ranked coral belts in the country.
- Age 7
Carlos is introduced to Jiu Jitsu by his father in Teresópolis, Brazil.

He begins formal training under Grandmaster Carlson Gracie Sr., at Carlson's first school in Teresópolis.

Earns his Judo black belt under Takise Ueda at just 18 years old.

Awarded his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt directly from Carlson Gracie Sr.

Carlos and Megan open Rollyson Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Hollywood, Florida.

Megan becomes the first female black belt promoted under Master Rollyson.

Carlos receives his 8th-degree red-and-white coral belt from the IBJJF — one of only six in the U.S.
